World’s most unique exhibition!
Over 3000 Polaroids and stories from around the world in one place
Project Overview
The proposed project is a curated exhibition of instant photography, composed of several independent photographic installations created by multiple authors and presented within a single, cohesive exhibition framework.
The core of the exhibition is a large-scale photographic installation consisting of a single, continuous wall with a total surface area of approximately 20 m², entirely covered with over 3,000 original instant photographs.
The photographs originate from travels to more than 60 countries worldwide and are authored by Oskar Skowronek (@halidar) — a traveler, photographer, and author whose work focuses on photography, travel, and contemporary nomadic lifestyles.
The installation invites visitors to immerse themselves in the rhythm of travel, time, and memory, while encouraging reflection on documenting personal experiences through a medium that has become increasingly rare in today’s digital culture. The work is conceived as an immersive and interactive experience, allowing viewers to engage directly with instant photography and enter into a visual dialogue with the medium.
This installation is unique on an international scale and offers a strong visual and experiential anchor for the exhibition. It naturally encourages audience interaction and documentation, making it a highly engaging focal point for visitors and an organic driver of visibility across social and digital platforms.
Guests and Adjacent Installations
Adjacent to the main wall installation, the exhibition will feature several smaller, independent installations created by invited instant photography artists.
Each participating artist will be given an individually arranged exhibition space of approximately 2 × 2 meters, allowing them to present their personal interpretation of the medium and their unique thematic or technical approach to instant photography.
The exhibition will include works created using Polaroid, Instax, and other instant photography techniques, addressing a wide range of subjects — from travel and personal narratives, through socially engaged storytelling, to formal, experimental, and process-driven works.
This modular structure allows the exhibition to be adapted to different locations, while also enabling collaboration with local photographers and artists relevant to each host city or country.
Public Program
In addition to the exhibition itself, the project includes a public program designed to broaden audience engagement and increase the overall cultural value of the event
Instant photography workshops introducing participants to working with instant cameras, suitable for both beginners and more experienced photographers,
Panel discussions and artist talks focusing on creative processes, travel, and working with instant photography as a medium (with participating artists experienced in public speaking),
A small sales area offering photographic reprints, books, and original publications.
Partnership and Promotion
As a team of creators, we provide active promotional support for the project through our own social media channels, as well as through collaboration with media partners and industry sponsors from both local and international contexts.
We are interested in building a close, collaborative partnership with the host gallery or institution, where the exhibition can become a central element of the venue’s program during its run, fully integrated into the space and its communication strategy.
