I seem to have a soft spot for small cities that despite their size, seem to have it all! I’ve previously talked about my love for Valetta as an example of one such place, today I would want to move out of the sunny Mediterranean and venture up into the snowy mountains, where tucked away amidst the breathtaking Swiss Alps lies Zurich, the capital city of Switzerland (…).

It’s no secret that I’m not a huge fan of winter. Living at northern latitudes, the season often heralds the beginning of a long nights, an unyielding overcast sky, and a biting northern wind. Yet, there’s one thing that always makes it more enjoyable for me at that time: snow!
